Road closure

Morning started with some routine bike tinkering, a cold shower and some Greek coffee. My route had to change due the 208 being closed. Travelled 300 miles to Hella where again staying in a log cabin. I will try the other way round into Landmannalaugar tomorrow. Rained all morning and afternoon but on arrival to Hella the rain stopped and the weather here now is lovely. The journey today took me through more snowy landscapes, volcanic ash areas and past a waterfall. Stopped to view some glacial activity earlier in the day. Although it was not the route I intended it was still a pleasant one with as much off road routes as possible. Stopped at fuel station where I bumped into all the guys from the boat. The 2 KTM's looked spotless. Had a chat with one of the owners. He comes from Poland and was a pleasant, cheerful chap.
